RHO Hotel

An inexpensive hotel just off Dam Square in the City Center of Amsterdam

This renovated hotel in a former gold-trading company building is one of the most conveniently located hotels in Amsterdam.

It's on a quiet side street just off Dam Square, with an Art Nouveau lobby that hints at its origins as a theater in 1908.

The rooms are thoroughly modern and functional, if a bit institutionally bland. Still, the hotel provides all the amenities you need (free breakfast, free WiFi, private parking) and comes at an excellent price (€110 to €160—cheaper during the week than on weekends) for this level of comfort and amazingly central location.
