This boutique hotel sets itself apart in Dublin for its vibrant modern look, prime location (across the street from Trinity College and five minutes on foot from Temple Bar), and low rates (doubles from €89).

Everything from the lounges to the rooms is decorated in a deep, sumptous palette of purple, cream, burgundy, silver, royal blue, and chocolate set off by plenty of natural walnut wood tones. Expansions in 2007 and 2009 has taken the hotel to 195 rooms, and it rambles from the original Georgian building into modern wings and even a former fire station.

There is free WiFi, flatscreen TVs in the rooms, and the Cafe Cairo bar and restaurant, with a funky North African/Moorish theme.
