This Cathedral Termite (Nasutitermes triodiae) mound is about 5m (15 feet) tall. Among the largest termite mounds in the world, Australia's deeply crevassed and buttressed Cathedral mounds can grow up to 20 feet. It likely took the colony of grass-eating termites that lives inside more than 50 years to build. (Litchfield National Park, Northern Territory, Australia.)
