Topham's Ebury Court Hotel
TK hotel in Belgravia, London
In its third generation of family management, the Ebury Court remains an excellent choice in a fine residential area near the station (Margaret Thatcher is a neighbor). The smaller rooms appear cozy rather than cramped; the owner is something of an interior decorator and has outfitted the rooms as an English country inn (rooms with four-posters or canopied beds are particularly lovely). It's all very Laura Ashley without crossing the line into frou-frou. Rates vary with plumbing and room size, and you can get room service around the clock. It's not quite as alluring as some of the other choices here, and accommodations tend a bit small, but the price[md]especially for London[md]is excellent for the quality and service.
