Café Spice Namasté
A great (and inexpensive) Indian restaurant in the City of London
The setting is boring—a huge space in a characterless, converted Victorian hall—but the Indian cuisine is some of the best in London. The owner, who hails from Goa, has added specialties from his own land (try the three-alarm sorpotel pork), but you'll also taste Thai, Malay, Sri Lankan, and Singaporean influences. The daily specials are usually right on the mark, or try the complex chicken curry dish of galinha xacutti.
