Bewley's Cafe

A famous, elegant cafe and restaurant right on Grafton Street

This huge old-fashioned, high-ceilinged tea room on Dublin's main shopping promenade has been a favorite of Dubliners since 1840. It's not an intimate cafe—there's seating for 400—but it is a classic.

You can get well-prepared light foods cafeteria-style—salads, soups, pasta, pizza, and various appetizers—but Bewley's is most famous for its teas with scones, cakes, and jams.

There are other branches at 11-12 Westmoreland St. and 13 S. Great George St.
