Pierrot - This second-story terrace restaurant overlooking the coastal commercial drag of Marinella and the Mediterranean scant feet away has excruciatingly slow service but arguably the best food in town. On the run you can make do with a pizza, or settle in for a light menu, a more ample tasting menu, or ordering a la carte: a primo such as spaghetti con zucchine fritte or con vongole veraci (with tiny clams), casarecce cappa e spada (homemade pasta with capers and swordfish), a couscous di pesce on Friday evenings, or splurge on spaghetti all'aragosta (with lobster). Follow it up with a frittura da re (abundant fry-up of seafood), sogliola alla mugnaia (sole meunière), or cotoletta panata (breaded veal chop). Via Marco Polo 108. tel. +39- 0924-46-205. www.ristorantepierrotselinunte.com. Closed Tues (Open daily in Aug.) Closed Jan–Feb.
