The best meals in town are at the little basement osteria called Il Buco, Via Zanardelli 1 off Corso V. Emanuele (tel. +39-329-442-0930 or 0931-838-142, www.facebook.com), which offers cheap, filling home-style dinners, a cheap fixed-price menu, and outdoor tables set on the town's main drag directly across the street from the baroque facade of San Francesco all'Immacolata church. I like the ravioli.
