Tourist apartments and short-term rental flats in Barcelona

Barcelona has a staggaring number of short-term apartments for rent to tourists—nearly 700, of which some 300 are in the central Ciutat Vella and Eixample neighborhoods.

Contrary to popular misconceptions, apartments are often available for as short a period as a single night—though many do require a 2-night or 3-night minimum stay.

Prices can vary wildly, but you can get an apartment for as little as €35 per night—not kidding.

That said, the average cost is more around €40 to €90—still a better bargain than hotels, plus you get your own kitchen and a homier feel. (There is also often a token cleaning fee of €10 to €35.)

Some are one or two apartments to rent by a private owner; others are Aparthotels or residence hotels—more like an all-suite hotel of efficiencies and studios (but still each room comes with a kitchenette... and terrific savings over hotels).

How long should I spend in Barcelona?

If you're just passing through, I'd give Barcelona at least two full days.

It is a lovely place to relax, however, so you might be happier spending 3-4 days.
