A resurrection of the defunct Cortile di Venere, this one-room restaurant has a touch of refinement that makes it popular with locals who turn out in groups for the finely observed Sicilian cooking.
Luckily, you can sample much of it via the tris di primi, a trio of pastas that may include pappardelle with shrimp and tuna, ravioli in a cream sauce, or casarecce prepared all'Ericino (an almond/tomato pesto) or tastily alla venere (with eggplant, tomatoes, swordfish, and mint).
Secondi run from the expected involtini alla siciliana (veal rolls) and fresh fish to more inventive dishes like calamari ripieni (stuffed squid).
