A tiny, cozy, family-run hotel in the heart of Taormina, Sicily

Staying at this cozy little six-room hotel in the heart of town is like moving in with the Zucchero family for the night—they just so happen to live in a funky 1928 villa built by a Mexican peeress.

The beds have orthopedic mattresses. The slightly wacky décor is over-the-top floral, but cute, and almost all rooms have a terrace or balcony.

The view from room no. 5 gets in a bit of the sea and Mt. Etna, while the long terrace shared by nos. 1–4 will soon to be divided so each room has a private one.

You take breakfast in a teensy garden shaded by mandarin orange and grapefruit trees.
