Now in its fourth generation of Gambardella family management (and of celebrity couples, the Liz Taylor and Richard Burton trysts of yesteryear having given over to Brangelina sightings), this 1904 looker has rooms of original antiques on hand-painted or pure white ceramic tile floors spread across the main building and two villas

The is also a triplet of cozy honeymoon cottages scattered amid the grounds' lemon and orange groves, including the 19th Chalet Giulietta & Romeo, a tiny two-level cottage hovering above the water like something out of a fairy tale.

There's an elevator down to a private beach, saltwater pool, fitness center, and thatched-roof pizzeria and fish grill—though you could also stroll down there through the lovely terraces of gardens and citrus orchards.
