Thailand meals
How much do restaurants in Thailand cost?
Meals
$1
stir fry, rice, Pepsi
$6
full meal with beer
Dining is amazingly cheap in Thailand. You can pop into a simple local's joint in a marketplace and get a plate of rice topped with stir-fried chicken and a bottle of Pepsi for 25 THB (85¢).
Meals at the kind of simple restaurants patronized by backpackers cost around 100–250 THB ($3.35–$8.35) for perhaps an appetizer, a pad thai or red curry, and a Singha beer.
You'll be hard-pressed to spend more than 300 THB ($20) per person at a restaurant, maybe as much as 600 THB ($40) if you go all-out on a feast at a high-end beach hotel or fancy Bangkok restaurant.
