Reid is a frequent contributor to Frommers.com and AARP The Magazine, and his articles have appeared in Newsweek, The Miami Herald, CNN.com, Bon Appetit, Modern Bride, The Dallas Morning News, The St. Petersburg Times, and CruiseCritic.com. His “Intrepid Traveler” adventure column ran monthly in The Chicago Daily Herald.
He was a Contributing Editor to TravelandLeisure.com, Condé Nast’s Concierge.com, Smart Shopping, and Arthur Frommer’s Budget Travel magazine, where he was formerly Associate Editor.

He lectures regularly on world destinations and travel techniques at the Smithsonian Institution, and serves as occasional guest host of “The Travel Show,” a podcast formerly on WABC FM.
