The Corn Palace of Mitchell South Dakota
It's amaizeing!
Nothing says "We've got more time on our hands around here than is healthy" like the corn palace of Mitchell, South Dakota.
Now the local high school's basketball arena, the walls of this one-block-square building are mosaicked each year with a new set of murals made entirely of corn cobs.
Amazingly, they have been doing this since 1892 (though the current building dates to 1921).
Well, you got to have something to do to break up the long drive thorugh eatern South Dakota
