Leadenhall Market ☆☆☆
This cobblestoned, glass-covered Victorian-era market built in 1881 now houses upscale retail shops
There has been a market on this site since the 1300s, and the current incarnation is a stunner: A cobblestoned, glass-covered Victorian-era hall lined by upscale retail boutiques (including Barbour), food shops (cheeses, meats, several for wines), and nearly 20 restaurants and cafes.
Leadenhall Market has also found some fame with the Harry Potter films. The Diagon Alley set was inspired by this market—and, indeed, parts of the Diagon Alley scenes in the first few movies were filmed here.
